Baby Shower - March 29, 2014

I felt like I had a straight face most of the day because I was so overwhelmed with gratitude during my baby shower.  It was beyond wonderful to have everyone gathered and to open gifts for KJ (short for Kevin, Jr.).

My mother worked tirelessly helping me turn my house into a home; my girlfriends arrived early and took care of pretty much all things shower related!  Hubby pitched in by picking up flowers and food (a big help!).

Here are the photos:

What I Wore: Maternity Leggings; Boston Proper Top bought on super sale; Dillards Boots; Necklace by Sarah C Jewelry and earrings by Elena Maratos.

GoPicnic

I saw these items one day in Sheetz (gas station).  They looked great, but pricey.

Then, I saw one in the food drawer at the office.  Denise, my boss, is very aware of what she eats, so I knew that if she approved, these GoPicnics must be good.

So, I found a few boxes today at Wegmans in Warminster, PA.  I ate the tuna box tonight and it is a good snack.  It will not be a great substitute for lunch (I like food and like to eat lots of it!), but if you have a long day at the office, are on a long drive, and/or in need of an afternoon pick me up, these are great!

Prices: Your best bet is to find them at Target and/or Wegmans.  If you have to order online, use amazon and click on "new and used" so you can see prices from several different vendors.  I found a vendor that sells this for less than $4 per box.  I paid $4 per box at Wegmans.

Crown Wall Decor

As a pageant girl, I am OBSESSED with crowns.  I love (almost) anything crown, especially when decorating my office.  I work from home for the most part as an attorney, so I want my environment to be something that I love - and I love crowns!

Recently, I purchased two wall crowns from Kirklands in Wilmington, DE.  They were $9.99 a piece! When I posted them on facebook, several people commented.  This got to thinking about crown decor in my home (really my office).  So here are a few photos of my home office.
Purchased at Kirklands for $9.99 per crown
The Crown Frame was purchased at Hobby Lobby - again - about $10

Crown Frame - I am pretty sure I bought this from www.allthingscrowned.com
Awareness Angel - Prize from the American Renaissance Pageant

.

And here are more than several crown decor items that I found on sale online.  Click the photo to be taken to the retailer.

I have this in my family room - it is not bad, but not great.  For the $10 that I paid for it - it is terrific!!!
