Mrs US Pageant - Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Competition Day!!!

WOW - these women were an incredibly beautiful group!!!

Enjoy the photos :-)

As for these first few photos, let me explain.....
My camera has a custom setting. I set the camera to take seven photos when it is on a timer. The camera has a three second delay in between photos - just enough time to do something wacky in between each photograph. My pageant friends know my camera quite well :-)

My roommate was humoring me by allowing me to take so many photos!

Mrs. US Pageant - Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Swimsuit photoshoot call - 7:30AM! Yikes - that was early.

We had a great swimsuit shoot by the pool and a great interview experience in the evening :-) My roommate had our interviews about three hours apart - hence, by the time she was finished, I was in PJs.

Mrs US Pageant - Monday, July 20, 2009

What an incredible day! We started with the gift exchange (who doesn't like the gift exchange!). Then we met the fantastic Natalie Carson, who showed us a very easy dance number (I can't dance, so I loved the easy routine!). We completed the night with an outing on the strip! It was funny to watch people's reactions to all of our sashes.

Hello from Mrs. United States

I am really excited to be competing in the Mrs. United States pageant this week in Las Vegas, NV!!!!!

My roommate (Rachel - Mrs. Virginia) is awesome! She gave me chocolate within a half hour of arriving!

Blue Rocks Game and July 4th Parade in Maryland

Kevin and I had a great time with family and friends at the Wilmington Blue Rocks game on Friday night.

I sang the national anthem and made a new friend, Molly. Being that I am not one to throw a ball (the ball wouldn't have made it more than ten feet), Molly graciously agreed to throw the first pitch for me!

On July 4th, I joined my husband for a parade in Maryland to support his volunteer efforts with Mason Dixon Rescue Dogs (our Loki is a retired dog; we had Rocco....but he is too hyper and young to be put into a parade).
