Vacation Outfits Part 4

We had the most wonderful dinner at our favorite restaurant in OBX - Elizabeth's Cafe and Wine Bar!

I wore a Matilda Jane dress and sweater.  Shoes were my go-to Earthies.  Jewelry was a nice mixture of Sabika (earrings and both pendant necklaces) and Elena Maratos (both rhinestone chokers).

The wild horses FINALLY came to graze in our yard.  They are not afraid of humans, so I was able to get some great shots of them (and a few more of our dog, Rocco)!

Vacation Outfits - Part 3 - Pure Relaxation

We took a walk in our driveway - which is a sand dune.  We stayed in the OBX 4X4 beaches; there are no "real" roads up here.  You drive on the beach and then up over a sand dune to get to your house.  It is quiet and secluded - and we love it!  We even saw the wild horses in our driveway the night that we arrived!

We decided to do at least one sight seeing activity - so we finally visited the Whalehead House Museum and re-visited the Currictuck Lighthouse in Corolla.  We haven't climbed the lighthouse since our honeymoon over six years ago.  We have been so lazy on this vacation that climbing the lighthouse stairs was the most exercise yet!

I wore Cabi jeans from last season, a white tank top, Evy's Tree Hoodie and Blessed Inspirations Jewelry.

Back to the beach for playtime!

Vacation Outfits - Part 1

I think I will call this vacation my laziest vacation yet!  My husband and I did practically nothing - and loved it!  I did read several books and completed many many digital scrapbook pages.  Not getting pregnant has definitely taken its toll on me, so a lazy vacation (and lots of bad food without guilt) was perfect!

The few times that my husband and I ventured out of the house, here are my attempts at looking nice.

Matilda Jane Dress, Nike Flip Flops and Sabika Jewelry (Pendant Necklace and Earrings from current Sabika season; other necklace from Elena Maratos)

Here are many of our fun beach photos:

We went out to our favorite Duck, NC restaurant - Elizabeth's Wine Bar and Cafe
I am wearing a Kate Spade dress that I wear often; Sabika Jewelry from Spring of 2012 and a Sarah C Necklace.  My earrings are a 14mm fuchsia rivoli earring.  Shoes are by Earthies.
I get cold so easily, so I brought my Evy's Tree hoodie to dinner.

Miss America Pageant and New York International Pageants

My girlfriends and I decided to attend the Miss America Pageant for a girls weekend.  We will not be repeating this adventure.  It is something that I recommend you do at least once if you are a pageant girl, but not worth the cost or the effort for more than once in your lifetime.

Here is what I wore:
Top and Skirt from Bebe - purchased that day!
Shoes from Dillards (either Melani or Gianni Bini)
Jewelry: 14mm fuschia rhinestone rivoli earrings (forget where I purchased those); necklaces by Elena Maratos, Sabika, and Sarah C Jewelry.
Hoodie - Evy's Tree - it gets cold walking in and out of hotels; and I refused to be cold while watching the Miss America pageant - so this hoodie got some use!

As for the pageant, Kim and I left early.  You couldn't see much from our seats.  We all agreed that the view from television is much better and we won't bother ever going to the live pageant again.

At the beginning of October, I traveled to New York to judge the New York International Pageant!  Susan (Mrs. PA International 2008, Mrs. Northeast International (top 15 at Mrs. International), and a very close friend) traveled with me as she was also judging.  We loved meeting all of the contestants!  After the pageant, I forced Miss and Teen PA queens to do a photo with me which turned into a very fun photo shoot for many of us!

I wore several outfits during the weekend, but the only one really pictured is a Heather French Henry gown that was covered in crystals by Diane Speacht of Altoona, PA (she is a master seamstress and designer).  You need to see the gown in person to get the full effect, but it is simply stunning!!!
